Purpose of the blog

THE purpose is to warn people about the issues that global warming can cause now and in future. I am also doing this blog so that people can know about Global Warming and do what is necessary to prevent and stop it. In this blog I am going to write about the global warming, and it will contain a movie review of "An Inconvenient Truth", a small powerpoint presentation, things that each of us can do in the UAE, the definition, some of the causes and specific effects of global warming.We may now live our lives without any problem from Global Warming, but in the future our children will be the victims of what we are doing right now. In this blog I am sending a message for everyone breathing on this earth to do their best of doing what is necessary to prevent and stop the global warming.

What Is Global Warming ?

Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.The vast majority of scientists agree that global warming is real, it’s already happening and that it is the result of our activities and not a natural occurrence.1 The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable.We’re already seeing changes. Glaciers are melting, plants and animals are being forced from their habitat, and the number of severe storms and droughts is increasing

Global Warming Causes

There are many causes of global warming. Some of them are natural and some are caused by the human. First one is that Carbon Dioxide Emitted from Cars. Cars now are the most popular transport methods in the world. These are used gasoline and diesel. These fuels are producing carbon dioxide gas which is harmful to the environment. Another cause is that the natural disasters. One of natural disaster is the volcanoes. These volcanoes normally are inactive but when they become active, millions tones of harmful gases send to the atmosphere. Yet another cause is that the using of energy. A lot of people use energy but this energy is not use efficiently so the unused energy became a source of pollution.

Global Warming Effects

The effects of global warming on earth are actually too many. An increasing of global average of temperature is the main cause of the global warming as we know, so from this flow, a variety of resulting effects are happening. Namely, Rising Sea Levels, Altered Patterns of Agriculture, Increased Extreme Weather Events and the Expansion of the Range of Tropical Diseases. Moreover, the signs of global warming are very remarkable, which they are the reduced snow cover, rising sea levels & weather changes provides examples of consequences of global warming that may influence not only human activities but also ecosystems. Increasing global temperature means that ecosystems may change; some species may be forced out of their habitats (possibly to extinction) because of changing conditions, while others may flourish. Few of the lands of ecoregions on earth could expect to be unaffected

UAE and the Global Warming solutions

There are many things can reduce CO2 in the UAE. Adnoc offer to us the new fuel which is a natural gas to fill our cars. Also, contacts have been made with vehicle manufacturers who are currently producing new bi-fuel vehicles that run on both Natural Gas and gasoline to encourage them to supply these models to the UAE market in the near future.

Solar Energy,
UAE are starting using solar energy in their traffic lights and power meters and more. to reduce the usage of fossile fuel and to make sure that they have a renewable energy once the fuel is not avilable. they are also concern about global warming and they are trying to stop what ever makes it growing.
